Americana musicians perform weekly at Roberts Hall at 4pm on Sundays with an open mic starting at 3pm.

Each Sunday, you’ll get to listen to a blend of musicians performing everything from Southern rock and Celtic folk to Bluegrass and Delta Blues and throw in some alternative country music in there and you may even want to kick your heels up and groove a little.

The Legendary Roberts Hall is a premier listening room that only showcases the best acoustic and lyric based music in the area. It fosters soulful connections and some of the best storytelling. • June 12th 2016: Lucky Mud, a folk group filled with friends and family who just love palpable music. Their folk music connects people together through a blend of traditional and unique sound. Price is a $5.

• June 19th 2016: Promenade Action and The Jones Boys who are both duos that have incredibly different sounds. The styles are unique and their music has a depth sure to impress. Price is a $5.

• June 26th 2016: Bob Patterson who likes to play old folk style. He has distinctive guitar stylings and many stories that will make you think, dream and laugh. Price is a $5.

This weekend in Panama City Beach you can hear lots of stories from the blues at the inaugural Great American Blues Festival.  Ten bands will be performing over two days at Aaron Bessant Park at Pier Park with a barbecue challenge being held on the Saturday and the music continuing all day Sunday also.

The bands range from a legendary group that performed at Woodstock to a blues supergroup making waves all over the music scene.

Canned Heat plays Sunday at 1pm. Yes, THAT Canned Heat…the one that has been around for over 45 years and put out 38 albums; the band whose song Going Up the Country became the unofficial theme of the the Woodstock festival in 1969. While Alan “Blind Owl” Wilson and Bob “The Bear” Hite passed away years ago, long-time members Larry “The Mole” Taylor, Adolfo “Fito” de la Parra, and Harvey “The Snake” Mandel remain with the seminal blues band.

Closing out the festival on Sunday is Royal Southern Brotherhood, the blues supergroup collaboration that includes Greg Allman’s son Devon Allman, Cyril Neville from the legendary family of New Orleans musicians, and blues guitar virtuoso Mike Zito.
