Bay County residents and tourists now have the perfect event designed to help them get their 4th of July weekend started with a spectacular bang. The Grand Lagoon Coalition will be delivering this celebration along with Powell Broadcasting and Visit Panama City Beach. This is all happening in conjunction with the area’s finest shopping, dining, water activities and entertainment services you could ask for. Join us for our annual vibrant and glorious fireworks show infused with the synchronized patriotic sounds provided by 105.1 BOB FM in the place where locals go and visitors enjoy feeling like locals: THE Grand Lagoon! This will be THE event of the evening filled with music, fireworks, and freedom on Friday night the 3rd of July.
Absolutely the perfect collection of invigorating festivities needed to get our Independence weekend celebration started off with an explosive bang!
Come early and dine at any of the ‘Freedom Rocks‘ participating waterfront restaurants & bars offering special cocktails and menu items throughout the day into the evening. Take advantage of the opportunity to get a jump on the weekend’s “Red, White & Blue” shopping at area establishments.
Head over to rock a spot with the glorious sun-set washed color of our skies from a view on the Grand Lagoon Bridge or bring your chair/blanket to the green grassy lawn at Treasure Island Marina, where Powell Radio will be doing a remote broadcast. If you are feeling adventurous, do not miss the opportunity to board one of the sightseeing boats offering special cruises on the water during the fireworks show.
The public is invited to bring their chairs to waterfront viewing spots throughout the community, and can tune in to Powell Broadcasting radio station 105.1 BOB FM to hear the synchronized music during the 9:00 fireworks extravaganza. Powell Broadcasting will have the “KICK’N RIDE along with the KICK’N CREW” on site at the grassy area of Treasure Island from 8:00 – 10:00 pm for the remote broadcast.
