Wings. Beer. Sports.
Jerome and Maggie have been together for years, and luckily their respective friends enjoy each other’s company as well. But it’s Saturday night and pickings are slim on where to go. There are the dingy, gloomy bars filled with smoke that the women would rather not frequent, and there are the crazy fast night clubs that are too loud for the guys’ taste, plus there’s no food at either, and nobody really wants to drink lukewarm beer out of a plastic cup.
So, where to go? Perhaps a trip to Panama City Beach … it hits Jerome and Maggie at the same time. They look at each other and smile.
“Buffalo Wild Wings,” they say together.
BW’s is known for wings, sports, and beer, but it’s known as a Panama City Beach Nightlife hotspot because its open until midnight or later, and few provide a better social experience for late-night guests than Buffalo Wild Wings.
Jerome and his buddies can relax knowing Maggie and her friends will enjoy the up-scale but casual sports-themed atmosphere and great cocktail selection available on the signature drink menu, with options like a Wildberry Margarita, Mango Limeade, and Wild Bloody Mary. The guys can swap stories as they sample brews from the 27 draft and 50 bottled beers, like Goose Neck 312, Magic Hat #9, or keep it classic with an iced-cold Bud Light. And all of them can share their favorite finger foods from BW’s full menu, be it award-winning buffalo-style chicken wings, roasted garlic mushrooms, soft, warm pretzels with spicy mustard sauce, or a parmesan garlic flatbread.
Their group arrives at BW’s in the heart of Pier Park and finds the place packed. It’s a UFC pay-per-view night! The crowd is lively as the fights play out on all 40 of the bright flat-screen TV’s and 11 projection big screens. Jerome finds seats at the bar for Maggie and her companions. Together they all order a round from the smiling bartender and watch the main event. The crowd cheers as the action gets exciting.
Afterwards, when the place has cleared out a bit, the group moves over to one of the bar tables – there’s plenty of room at BW’s. Laughs are shared, conversations are made, and the music streaming over the speakers is just the right volume. Jerome orders a round of shots while Maggie gets involved in a conversation with the people sitting at the next table over. Apparently there is some friendly disagreement over who is the better pro football team… It isn’t long before the two groups push their tables together. They all clink their glasses in a toast after the next round arrives right on time. Maggie looks at Jerome.
“This was such a great idea,” she says.
“It sure was.”
